Lecture 21 Part 2 – Hohokam  Sedentary Period of Hohokam: 975-1150 AD o Larger number and size of sites  Maximum site size found o Starting to build square platform mounds o Retraction of amount of area that they occupied, exodus, unsure why o Snaketown  Largest community during this period  Over 200 rectangular pit houses (500-600 people at least)  Two ball courts (more circular)  Larger buildings, homes of elite? More likely some form of community building
