Gonadotrophic hormones = responsible for sex organ development. 1 sex characteristics = growth of the penis, testes, ovaries, uterus, vagina. 2 sex characteristics = breast development, changing voice pitch, beard growth, body hair growth. Some changes at puberty, mostly 2 girl sex characteristics. Prenatal male genital formation, triggers sequence of changes in 1 & 2 male sex characteristics. Pituitary gh, tsh, & activating hormones physical maturation rate; signals other glands to secrete hormones.
