Labour: those who have to sell capacity to work at a job for wage or salary. Relation of labour and capital a main focus of political economy. Workers are younger than in other sectors. Work is irregular, contracts are short term, little job protection. Average: add up all the numbers and divide by the number of numbers. Median: the middle value in the list of numbers. Median wage: same number of working people have wages above that mark as those with wages below that mark, more respresentative of earnings than averages because 1% wealthiest make so much they skew the overall average. Symbol creators: artists and performers, authors, musicians, etc. Creative managers: film producers, book editors, artist and repertoire personnel. Technical workers: lighting, special effects, sound engineers.
