Qualitative methods are the best way to start to answer clinical and research questions about what little is known or when a new perspective is needed in practice. It is crucial to remember that everyone experiences things differently. It is also important to consider the context of the person, therefore, it may be beneficial to interview the participant in their natural environment. Phenomenology is a science whose purpose is to describe particular phenomena, or the appearance of things, as lived experience. It is used to answer questions of personal meaning. Important method with which to begin studying a new topic or a topic that has been studied but needs a fresh perspective.
