Don"t want it to get to end stage. Thicker left centricle compared to right bentricle. Cell injury causes reversibley-injured myocyte normal myocyte. The pattern of response of living organisms to injury; Disease results when adaptive mechanisms fail, or the adaptive mechanism itself becomes harmful. Nutritional/metabolic alterations: ischemia reduction in blood supply, hypoxia oxygen deficienly alone (may also be due to reduced oxygenation in normal blood supply pneumonia o. Ischemia can lead to hypoxia, but hypoxia doesn"t have to be ischemia. Important note: can be physiologic or pathologic. Decrease in mass due to decrease in cell size. Atrophic muscle: bed bound, wasn"t using the muscle and eventually atrophy.
