Health- lots of definitions (theory applied to health telcott parsons, sick role) Demography- lots of definitions (lots of focus on chapters 22,23 and 24) Studies how people move from place to place (immigration, emigration, death and growth) Demographers collect statistics and pose questions about the effects of population growth. 3 components of demography: fertility- the incidence of childbearing in a country"s population. Fecundity- the potential for childbearing (biologically women can have up to 20 kids)
