Constructive variable: decide how it looks by the data given to you. Mastery scale: the sum of a set of questions (strongly agree =1 to strongly disagree =5, ordinal level responses (agree, agree somewhat etc. ) Regression model: follows the line not the actual bars so it could be lower than the bar actually reads, r shows the relationship (+1 perfect positive, -1 perfect negative) Males/females added in: females have a lower mastery level to start but as education rises their mastery level raises faster than males. If we assume that the males and females slope is the same the slope will be the average between the two. Mid-term is only up to half of chapter 5 and half of lecture 4.
