Evolution is a tinkover (creates new from the base that was already there) No 1st principles like there are in physics. Heavily based/relied on facts hence it is contingent. Have cell walls fungi: yest animal cells. Plants cells: the only ones who have chloroplast + most of the cell is the vacuole. Mammal cell (from pancrease): has a lot of organelles with membranes. Cell wall: present in all cell types exept animal cells. Light microscopy: allows to visualize the cell: uses visible light, transmitted through specimen (example the leaf see plant cell, bright field good for colored specimen (like plant cell) where you can see the chloroplast. If you have mammal cell and want to see the nucleus, you need to stain it first. Staining process: kill the cell (fix it) stain it: phase contrast if you want to stain something or the cell is transparent the cell can stay be alive.
