Higher cases in black and mixed-race populations: more prevalent in individuals of higher socioeconomic status, children from small families. Itch results in skin lesions, erythema: atopic dermatitis is intense pruritic eruptions, scaly, dry skin, rashes that fill with fluid- oozing or weeping in acute stages, cracked skin that may bleed, darkening of skin under eyes.
