Document Summary

A lot of people believe myths are true, and a lot of people believe that they are not. It"s like believing in santa claus, some people do, some don"t. Myths are there to convey social balance, lessons, and ideals. It"s not about if myths existed or not, they"re there for people to learn something. Adam and eve, people believe in them or don"t, but believing it or not believing it isn"t the point. Adam and eve"s myth talks about human nature, adam blames eve, eve blames the serpent, just like how we blame others for our problems. Sisyphus tried to escape, but he couldn"t. The myth represents how one can try no matter how much they want, but they cannot escape death. Myths can have many meanings, not only one. When you go against the gods, bad things are bound to happen. Objectively, sisyphus got a meaningless life because there was no fruit for all his labour.
