Mode is the most common group for individuals to have the value of--to note a number you would choose the middle number of the group. To report a median, you cant use nominal data because it is not ordered, and a median requires data to be ordered.

Answer: In medical research the measure of central tendency iseverywhere. But by far the most important and frequent use aremean, the median, and the mode which is most frequent value in thedistribution. Mean is most commonly used measure of centraltendency with varied types i.e. arithmetic, weighted, geometric,and harmonic mean.

The mean uses every value in the data and hence is a goodrepresentative of the data. It is closely related to standarddeviation, the most common measure of dispersion.
