Document Summary

Learning: relatively permanent change in behaviour that results from experience. We don"t want something, transient phenomena that comes and goes in one day. Classical conditioning (pavlov, watson) - 2 theorists who were the first to launch this model of human behaviour. Ads- doing some sort of conditioning in terms of the viewers. Ex. beer - associated with all things that young men want. The fun pairing would be important in influencing the type of beer. It is in the interest of making you prefer something over something else. Pairing something pleasurable to something that is neutral. We are conditioned as human beings, but animals also showes classical conditioning. Once there was an empty bowl placed in front of a dog and he started salivating, so he is showing a response that would not have been there before the experiment started. Unconditioned stimulus (us) - the unlearned, automatic full proof stimulus.
