Document Summary

Objective: this hands-on group assignment is designed to make us aware of what we are eating, where our food is coming from, and how food companies label their products. Directions for the scavenger hunt: you and your group members should take this checklist and a camera/phone to a local grocery store. When you find an item on the list you must take a picture of a group member holding the item with the appropriate label in view. There are 20 items on the scavenger hunt and each group member must be pictured holding items an equal number of times. Example: if you have 4 group members, each member should be pictured holding an item 5 times. After the scavenger hunt: each group is to prepare one powerpoint slide show that includes the pictures of the group members holding the products found at the grocery store.
