Have 2 medium inputs to create a strong response: associability. Have a strong input (looks like us) and a weak input (looks like cs) and will create a strong response. A change in both inputs: 2 channels of interest. Explained by the fact that you need both input from axon (glutamate release) and a strong depolarization. Need activity from both pre and post synaptic cell. Have a strong enough depolarization in post synaptic cell. Cell doesn"t care how the strong depolarization occurs. 2 inputs can work together to create depolarization.
