Cholesterol: hydrocarbon rings are between phospholipid tails, stabilizes the membrane, phospholipids mobility and, thus, membrane fluidity, 20% of membrane lipids, maintained membranes temperature through fluidity. Glycolipids (sticky: polar sugar groups, non-polar fatty acids, only on outer membrane surface, 5% of membrane lipids. Integral proteins: most are firmly inserted transmembrane proteins.
