Document Summary

As hr professionals, the responsibility of not letting conflicts escalate falls on you. We need to be able to communicate supportively to staff even in the most strenuous situations. There is a simple equation in organizations: Positive interpersonal relationships lead to positive energy: they help you feel elevated, revitalized and enlivened. Negative interpersonal relationships lead to negative energy: they lead to feeling depressed, less alive, emotionally exhausted, down and de-energized. Positive or negative interpersonal relationships have physiological, emotional, intellectual, social and organizational effects. It is your job as an hr professional to convince managers, directors and other authorities the importance of positive or negative interpersonal relationships within organizations. Building trust is a very important aspect of leadership, interpersonal skills and all hr branches. Most individuals don"t seem to feel a strong need to improve their own skill level. this is the biggest communication problem. The above is the first barrier that needs to be knocked down before reducing negative communication.
