Background and context
Some alleles lack dominant and recessive relationships. They are similar in their phenotype. These alleles are said to be codominant. The phenotypic effect of both the alleles can be seen in heterozygous conditions. The chickens were black and white in the beginning. ‘B’ is the allele for black color and ‘W’ is the allele for white color.
