Ersc 1p92 assignment 2: first of all, a rock is defined as a solid material that was naturally formed and contains minerals inside of it. Out of the three broad classifications of rocks, metamorphic is one of them. The definition of a metamorphic rock is a natural rock that has been modified due to extreme heat and/or pressure. The rock cycle is an approach that describes how all three forms of rock relate (igneous, The first step in the rock cycle is the cooling and crystallization of magma, which forms igneous rocks when the molten rocks cool down. The heat and pressure within the earth is what forms the already existing rock into metamorphic rocks however, if the temperature is high enough, it can form magma because of all the melting. The problem i will be discussing in this question is in regards to the earth and its previous controversy about whether its shape is flat or spherical.
