First he tries to determine what justice is, second he shows that justice is good for you (cannot live a happy life without justice) Plato shows that justice cannot be only following rules, it is not act-based it is character- based. Three categories of goods according to glaucon: things that give us joy (chocolate, things that have good results (good in their consequences) (working out, things that are good in themselves and good in their consequences. Considers justice as good in its consequence, have to follow the law and do what we ought to do because of what comes after. O(cid:272)(cid:396)ates a(cid:396)gues that it"s the thi(cid:396)d good.
