Distribuion channel: the set of insituions that transfer the ownership of and move goods from the point of producion to the point of consumpion. Wholesalers: irms that buy products from manufacturers and resell them to retailers. Logisic management: the integraion of two or more aciviies to plan, implement, and control the eicient low of raw materials, in-process inventory, and inished goods from the point of origin to the point of consumpion. Design the best distribuion channel, choosing from whom it buys or to whom it sells. Direct distribuion: allows manufacturers to deal directly with consumers. Indirect distribuion: one or more intermediaries work with manufacturers to provide goods and services to consumers. Mulichannel distribuion: using a combinaion of both direct and indirect distribuion channels to beter reach out to both consumers and business customers. The number of channel members to use at each level of the supply chain.
