However, they want to prove that sales level is much more affective in influencing consumers choice than stock level. Further, the type of brands is also another variable that plays a role in influencing purchase decision. The authors came up with four hypotheses which predict how and when sales level and stock level will affect consumer purchase decision. The first hypothesis is that the effects of sales level information are much more effective in affecting product choice than stock level information.
