Nuclear proliferation is not a problem, since even though the technology has existed for. 50 years, there are only 9 nuclear states. If another country like iran gets nuclear weapons, that"s nothing to worry about. In fact it doesn"t matter, who has nuclear weapons, as everybody who does, behaves with caution, no matter if ally or enemy. The distribution of common weapons is more critical. Iran wants nuclear power for two reasons: because it doesn"t view the region as stable and, because the usa first calls iraq, iran and north korea the axis of evil and then invades iraq. Nw have evidently prevented war by deterrence and nuclear pessimists have yet to find evidence for their position. Israel would have no other choice than to accept an iran with nw. In theory statespeople should fear that in case the use nuclear weapons, they will be destroyed. But in reality, nw are controlled by normal humans.
