Chapter 2 - human prehistory: pre-civic epochs: we have limited understanding of the human ancestors past. Humanity has a short history but long past. In contrast, the traces of the non-written human past left in carvings, paintings by. Australian aborigines of the northern kimberley region, stonehenge, and paintings in the chauvet caves of france cover probably more than 60 millennia. Schools and books would teach us about early humans as primitive hordes, superstitious, aggressive, animalistic and not more intelligent than chimpanzees . Modern biology: the human brain hasn"t changed much since the past 2 million years - our ancestors were at least as intelligent as we are now. They weren"t so technologically advanced or educated yet they survived harsh climatic conditions, illnesses, wild animals attacks, and food shortages.
