The child behavior checklist (cbcl) and the teacher report form (trf) are two components of the achenbach. System of empirically based assessment (aseba) that also includes a self-report scale and a direct observaion system. N. b. , special interest topic 11-2 on page 369. The trf is appropriate for children from 5-18 yrs. Cbcl and trf = most frequently used tests in school today. Clinical subscales of cbcl and trf are as follows: Computer-scoring sotware is available for the cbcl and trf and is recommended (since hand scoring is laborious and ime-consuming). The cbcl and tr are relaively easy to use, are ime eicient (when using the computer-scoring program), and have a rich history of clinical and research applicaions. The basc-2 trs and prs, the cbcl and trf, and similar raing scales are typically referred to as omnibus raing scales.
