Mental health: state of successful performance on mental funcion, resuling in producive aciviies, fulilling relaionships with other people and the ability to adapt to change and cope with adversity. Mental illness: health condiions that are characterized by alteraions in thinking, mood or behavior associated with distress and/or impaired funcioning. Mental health problems: signs and symptoms that are of insuicient intensity or duraion to meet the criteria for any mental disorder but suicient to warrant acive eforts in health promoion, prevenion and treatment. Pathological counterpart of normal fear, manifest by disturbances of mood as well as thinking, behavior and physiological acivity. Clinical anxiety: results in behavioural and cogniive changes, occurs without some eliciing event, response is disproporionate and unmanageable. Females have a higher lifeime and prevalence of anxiety disorders. Anxiety are most prevalent of the mental disorders. Bodily symptoms resuling from acivaion of ans (muscle tension) Drugs can had sedaive efects, withdrawal, sexual dysfuncion.
