Knowledge worker: is someone whose mind is a critical asset to employers. The workforce diversity: describes differences among workers among workers in gender, age, race, ethnicity and religion. Prejudice: is the display of negative, irrational attitudes towards members of diverse population. (sets the stage for diversity bias) Discrimination: prejudice becomes active discrimination when visible minority members are unfairly treated and denied the full benefits of organizational membership. Glass ceiling effect: is an invisible barrier limiting career advancement of women and minorities.
