Bone: bone shape is modified in response to physiological influences and mechanical forces, around 40 men and women begin to lose bone mass. Adiposity: positive energy balance typical between ages 20-64 results in weight gain and storage of excess energy in adipose tissues, as weight and adiposity increase, risk for disease increases.
