Primary sex traits: changes in the body that are part of reproduction. Secondary sex traits: changes in the body that aren"t part of reproduction i. e. pubic hair, breast size. Delay gratification: putting off immediate temptations in order to work on long-term goals. Prefrontal cortex focuses on making wise decisions. Also focused on abstract reasoning and logic (formal operational thinking) Kohlberg"s moral development (learning right from wrong): how people reasoned through complex moral dilemmas i. e. trolley concept. More caring, rather than men"s standards of justice and fairness. Social intuitionist model of morality: argues that moral judgements are guided by intuitive, emotion reactions. Identity: a clear sense of what kind of person you are, what types of people you belong with, and what roles you should play in society. Identity crises: curiosity, questioning and exploration of different identities. Membership and intensity of friendships within a clique are constantly changing.
