Authoritative in friends tends to have children choose friends and peers that have similar kinds of attitudes and decision making ability. Even if you did have that peer pressure they will select friends that have prosocial attitudes. Parents who are controlling, children choose friends that conform more because they are not use to decision making to themselves. Popular prosocial children liked by their peers. Popular antisocial children popular not because of being friends, peers see them as being cool.
