Trust only becomes an issue when an individual is dependent on & vulnerable to actions of another party. Trust is rooted in 3 different factors: disposition-based trust your personality traits. Some trustors are high in trust propensity: a general expectation that the words, promises, & statements of individuals & groups can be relied upon it"s like (cid:862)(cid:271)li(cid:374)d trust(cid:863) Shaped by genetics & environment (early-life experiences --- childhood) Also affected by national culture: cognition-based trust based on a rational assessment of authority"s trust(cid:449)orthi(cid:374)ess. As we gain more knowledge about person (authority), we determine trustworthiness based on cognitions.
