Cultural anthro- study of patterns in human behaviour, thought and emotion, focusing on humans as culture-producing and -reproducing creatures. Cultural resource management- branch of archaeology w/ survey and/or excavation of archaeological and historical remains that might be threatened by construction or development and values from researcher"s own culture. Culture bound- perspective that produces theories about world and reality based on assumptions. Doctrine- assertion of opinion or belief handed down by authority as true and indisputable. Empirical- approach based on observation of world rather than intuition or faith. Historical archaeology- study of places which written records exist. Various parts of culture and biology must be seen in broadest context to understand inter connections and interdependence. Medical anthro- specialization patterns in human behavior thought and emotion, focusing on human as a culture-producing and -reproducing creatures.
