Charcot began to study the therapeutic uses of hypnosis. Freud then worked with charcot and created the practice of psychoanalysis maladaptive behaviour + its causes. Regardless of theory, all therapists have a strong commitment to helping people solve their problems (cope with stress, or to deal with severe disorders)
