Aggression intent and attempt to harm 1 or more individual, physically or psychologically or to destroy an object. Violence; (subset of aggression; translated into a physical act) destructive physical aggression intentionally directed at harming other persons or things. Passive-aggressive behaviour - (not all aggression falls into the above definition) aggressive in intent, but behaviour is passive and indirect. (some can lead to crime) refusing to file income tax due to dissatisfactory with government. 2 type of main aggression - distinguished by goals and rewards offered to the aggressor. Response to anger-inducing conditions; less thought out (emotional) Real or perceived insults, physical attacks or one"s own failures. Competition or desire for some object or status possessed by another person (jewelry, money, territory). Factor in robbery, burglary, larceny, and various white-collar crimes. No specific intent to harm anyone (unless they interfere see below) Note: bushman and anderson did not fully support this division, and believe a more cognitive approach should be taken.
