Families of victims of 9/11 received almost 1 million dollars each in the years after the attack. There are more than 1 billion people in the world living in dire poverty: new yorkers, wealthy or not, received up to ,300 per family from foreign aid. We put the interests of our fellow citizens far above those citizens of other nations. The amount of money given by the rich nations was less than a sixth of what was needed to sustain the refugees.
