Affective: emotional conflict aimed at a person rather than an issue (personality based) Relationship: disagreement based on personalities and issues that are not directly related to work. Task: disagreement based on the work that is being done in a group. Process: disagreement on task strategy, delegation of duties and resources. Functional: supports the goals of the group and improves its performance. Concern for self: degree to which party attempts to satisfy his/her own concern. Concern for others: degree to which one party attempts to satisfy the other party"s concerns. Competition/forcing: high concern for self, low concern for other person. Compromise: medium concern for self, medium concern for other person. Avoidance: low concern for self, low concern for other person. Don"t want to think about the issue.
