Isabella beeton wife of a successful publisher, she published a book in 1961 called book of house. She took recipes from cookbooks and other books. She has strong opinions about foods, and what people should and should not eat. She did not like potatoes, mangos, lobster, cheese, and tomatoes. This could have been because of how much of certain foods were available and people knew about them.
