Document Summary

Office hours 4-5pm after class, room msb 7267, not 5267. A big part of survival is surviving danger. Onse they enter the body, our 5 senses cant help us anymore. When inside, our cells and immune response help us. The immune system is almost like our 6th sense. Inflammation is the big connection between innate & adaptive immunity. Microbes are always repli(cid:272)ati(cid:374)g. e. (cid:272)oli (cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:373)u(cid:374)ity i(cid:374) gut (cid:272)a(cid:374) dou(cid:271)le e(cid:448)ery (cid:1005)(cid:1006) hours. If the i(cid:374)(cid:374)ate syste(cid:373) is(cid:374)"t e(cid:374)ough, (cid:449)e need something stronger. Innate comes back to resting with no memory, adaptive comes back to resting the same, but it remembers the pathogen. When there are no pathogens involved, there is still inflammation due to damps. Pathogen and antigen receptor must come together to produce a lymphocyte response. Lymphoctyes nucleus takes up most of the cell membrane. Antigens are not interacting at only 1 point, it is acting in numerous locations.
