Document Summary
Reticular cells (which make collage type 3 reticular fibers), look like a fibroblast. They have long pojections, light stained nuclei, and more oval than lymphocyte. They are phagocytic and antigen presenting cells. they pick up antigen (bacteria/virus) and present it but are less efficient at presenting antigens than dendritic cells cus they have less mhc2. Dendritic cells are also antigen presneting cells they are found in t cell rich areas. T cells are found in the lymph nodes however in a specific part. Dendritic cells are found in t cell rich areas, very good antigen presenting cells. and highly involved in t cell activaiton. Spindly looking, its hard to distinguish these cells from others under a light microscope, but you can use different stains, or guess based on location in cel. Fdcs are found within the lymphatic nodules/lymphatic follicules. So they are found in germinal centers of lymphatic nodules with b cells.
