Slide 3: this is the evolution of business in the history of america. The production era is when people were started to get into automated production and a business could sell whatever they pleased, whatever is produced is sold. A third world country would still be in the production era. The sales era is when companies focused on not having big departments but instead they focused on getting products out of the factories and into the homes. 1950s is when marketing comes into play because competitors start to come up. The market orientation era is when they started to get into segmentation. It was the evolution and the increased use of computers. All of a sudden, companies and businesses had a lot of information on customers so companies used that to mould their marketing plan. Finally, social media marketing area is the most recent era which has grown to become a very influential market.
