Employees with high job satisfaction experience positive feelings when they think about their duties or take part in task activities and vice versa with negative feelings. Values are those things people consciously or subconsciously want to seek or attain. They affect job satisfaction because they deal with the things that work can give you. Values play a key role in explaining how satisfied or dissatisfied we feel about our jobs. According to the value-percept theory, job satisfaction depends on whether you perceive that your job supplies the things that you value. Vwant = how much of a value an employee wants. Vhave = how much of that value the job supplies.
