November 28th 2012: exam: two weeks from today, pick up essays at the exam. 3hour exam, combination of long answer and essay format. Section one: long answer, 5 or 6 choices, pick 3 to answer, 20 marks each, 60/100 total. Purely descriptive questions, no opinion, major concepts and ideas, arguments ie. discuss hume"s view on suicide. Section two: essay, answer 1 of 3 choices, 2 opinion pieces, material and opinion/argument about particular content, more descriptive than opinion, 40/100. 4 questions total to answer on the exam. Types of things we can be tested on, enough material. Read articles, make a note for each topic, major ideas/themes for each topic. Prepare some point form notes on each topic: essay, topics: Major topics that would be good for essay questions, more the same style as the major essay assignment but different topics (there will be overlap) ir organ transplantation/death classification. Try and reference articles, remember the names of certain thinkers !
