Manufactured fibers were made for people in markets that couldn t afford the real thing. Natural fibers are not the perfect combination of performance, availability, cost etc. Fabric innovation of being water repellant causes swimmer to be able to swim faster. Dry spin: melted to create liquid, extruded, put into chamber of warm air. 0 greater bulk, less wegth filling for comforeters and pillows food for insulated clothing good for increased absorabency imicrofibers. First rayon (1885( sold as artificial silk. Hwm rayon- moadl longer cellulose chains with orieniaon. 1951, japan, made from beech tree pulp. Highe r strength than viscosr rayon is shric resistant.
