Like in all other ethnic groups men make more money at every educational level than women do. Black women have the highest rates of participation in the labour force among all women. In addition, married black women are more likely to be employed because their husband"s lower earnings compared to white men. Researchers found that employers expected black women to miss work more because of their children. When they did not and were reliable workers, employers attributed this to being desperate for income rather than to having a true work ethic . Black (and other minority) women are likely to be subjected to radicalized sexual discrimination and harassment. Bell (2012), chapter 4, identity group: blacks/african americans. Blacks were slaves and many of them have fought in the american. They did not have a right to education, in other words they were not seen as equal to their white counterparts.
