Personality psychology has begun to be a real science . 3 major schools of psychology have been reflected in theories of personality: psychoanalytic: stresses the individual"s unconscious motivations, which must be interred from such indirect sources as dreams, slips of the tongues, & fantasies. Social learning theories have acknowledged the role of cognitive processes in shaping behavior.
