The film starts off with a grandfather who comes to visits his sick grandson, and in order to make his grandson feel better, he reads him one of his favourite booksthe princess bride. The princess bride is about a princess named buttercup who is engaged to a prince humperdinck, gets kidnapped as part of a scheme to start a war. Her only hope of being saved is by her long lost love westley, whom she does not know is even alive until he saves her life from the kidnappers.
