This (cid:449)as a(cid:374) iatrogenic problem (the treatment makes you sick): another case of extrovert parents vs introvert child was the case of joyce (adult) and isabel (child). Isabel started out as an extrovert; friends with everyone, hugging and caring for everyone. Then as she started to wonder what pain a bully in her 1st grade classroom had, she started to back away from people. She also liked being with her mom more: this parent-child fit is good, because the mom started helping her daughter with strategies to compensate for the stress of introversion in school. They rehearsed situations like how mu(cid:272)h ti(cid:373)e she (cid:449)ould spe(cid:374)d (cid:449)ith (cid:272)ertai(cid:374) frie(cid:374)ds that did(cid:374)"t get alo(cid:374)g and what to say to them.
