Involves creation of a new structure and new mgt processes: tech likely to be breakthrough and new products created will establish new markets, growing emphasis due to turbulent and unpredictable environment. Transforming change gets a lot of attention and can be powerful. 4 types of change in org to achieve strategic advantage. Product or service outputs of an org: new products include small adaptations of existing products/entirely new product lines, to increase market share / develop new markets, customers, clients. Strategy and structure changes: administrative domain in an org. Changes = org structure, strategic mgt, policies, reward systems, accounting + budgeting etc. E. g. corporate downsizing and shift to horizontal teams. Changes in values, attitudes, expectations, beliefs, abilities and behaviour of employees. Change in how employees think: changes in mind-set.
