Neuroticism decreases greatly for women with age; relatively stable for men (mildly sexist ) Data collected began in the 1950s, therefore environment was very different from what we believe today. Abilities concern how well people deal w set of tasks; may or may not be connected with typical behaviour. Crystallized intelligence = what you have learned from past experience, including formal education. Fluid intelligence = person"s ability to detect relationships between stimuli independent of practice or instructions with those relationships. Impossible to make good decisions when feeling emotions.
