Background and context

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) sequencing reaction is done to identify the original sequence of DNA. For this, the newly synthesized strand is run under gel electrophoresis and the sequence of the new strands is found. Then the concept of complementary base pairing is used to deduce the sequence of the original DNA. Sanger DNA sequencing is a renowned method for this purpose.
