B2b business to business: bought by individuals and organizations for further processing or for use in conducting a business, eg raw materials, office equipment. B2c business to consumer: bought by final consumers for personal consumption. Convenience not really comparison shopping, makeup, gum, brand advertises it. Unsought we wish we didn"t have to spend money on it until we need it (insurance) Quality does not mean no defects it means that it meets consumer needs. Performance quality = product"s ability to perform its functions. Conformance quality = consistency in performing targeted performance level. Packaging should be: sustainable, promotional and influential. Attached tags or packaging graphics that identify, describe, and promote the product (logos) and can be redesigned overtime.
